The Ultimate EnP Project

As far as I know, every course would be having their own capstone project-group works towards the reality in industry. For our case, Petroleum Geosciences students had the so called EnP.

EnP Project stands for Exploration & Prospect Evaluation Project.
Not just the name of project sounds great, the project itself is time consuming as well. (Recap: Given 12 weeks only to complete the interpretations, evaluate and final presentation!)
*For more hell stories, please refer to previous blog post.

Firstly, let me introduce my very precious and outstanding group members: Nabila Hidayahtul, Michelle and Moses.
(This selfie was taken before we enter the presentation room, nervous faces.)
Basically in this project, Me and Moses were responsible for the seismic interpretation.
Nabila was the geological modelling person in charge for our project.
Lastly, Michelle was the one who finish up with the petroleum economics and prospect evaluation.

(This was the scene taken by my dear audience friend during presentation.)
How can one stay steady given all the judges were so experienced guys?
Luckily, our group had practiced uncounted times one week before the day till the very last hour. Together we correct each other mistakes in speaking and speed as well as contents to improve.

Did you ever wonder how hard our group work?
-Weekly meeting for all updates.
-Settle and Finalise intepretations as early as possible to allow changes.
-Refer to professionals works based on what we learnt during internship.
-Question ourselves and answer it before judges ever had a chance to ask. Backup.
-QC.... QC.... QC....
-Be patient and tolerate within each other. Impossible to have same thought for different human being.
-Appreciate and evaluate the different perspective to be useful and improve.

Trust me, it was never easy to work in a group and aim to achieve the same goal. I am so lucky to have group members that were so patient and thoughtful in works, we never argue, not even once. Sometimes destructive comments might be hurtful but it helps us to improve.

We were sincerely so happy to be given Gold Medal for this project.
(Look at our humble smiles and the shiny but not useful medal.)
I prefer money. =P
I am sure that we are given the achievement of gold not just simply because of our presentation. Judges do evaluate on our group work composition as well as attitude. My goal is simple, "Show them the awesomeness and impress them."
I think everyone worked hard throughout the whole semester for this project deserved the Gold. Commitment & Attitude are everything in a group project. Cheers~

Don't let the Gold blind folded you, friendship is more important.
Sharing & Helping each other are part of learning process.
